Please Note:  Registration for Limmud is for the day’s activities. 
There is no prior selection of individual sessions.  
All sessions are open to all registered participants until all seats are filled.

Breathe In Israel

Nothing conjures up memories and emotions like the sense of smell. In this sensory presentation, you will be literally led by your nose to explore some of the iconic scents of Israel. Through essential oils of wild as well as cultivated plants of contemporary Israel, as well as olfactory cultural references such as ethnic spice mixtures, Turkish coffee, and desserts, you will engage all the senses and rediscover the homeland from a unique perspective. Guided by Ayala's firsthand experience growing up in the Galilee, and her work as a perfumer, you will discover perfumes that evoke the incense and oils of the bible, vibrant souks of the ancient cities, scent of earth after rain, Mediterranean garrigue, orchards in full bloom and more.
Note that this is a 90 minute session.
